2013 Stevne Willmar MN
The 2013 Valdres Samband stevne was held at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center in Willmar, Minnesota. This year’s gathering included a bus tour, seminars, traditional crafts, Nordic-themed vendors, coffee room with treats, and dining options with evening entertainment. Seminar topics range from the US-Dakota War to hints for writing your family history. With an on-site genealogist and a computer database, the genealogy room was a researcher’s dream come true. Children had the opportunity to attend Saturday’s Barneborgen to learn basic Norwegian language skills, lore and crafts.
